Nipsey Hussle’s brother, Samiel Asghedom, is filing a lawsuit against Crips, LLC. The reason Sam is filing the lawsuit is for the use of the slogan “The Marathon Continues” and the profits behind the phrase. The lawsuit comes after the Crips LLC filed for a couple of trademarks for the slogan “The Marathon Continues” two months after the death of Nipsey Hussle. Although the estate of Nipsey’s had trademarks on the slogan the Crips LLC was able to trademark some aspects of this & were still able to profit.

The Crips LLC stated that they were going to drop the application for the trademark of the slogan back in May of 2020 but continued to proceed with it. Now Nipsey’s estate demands to be compensated for infringement as well as damages.
