Lil Baby is Apple Music's Artist of the Year

Apple Music just announced that Lil Baby is their number one artist this year, with the success of My Turn, hit after hit, feature after feature and not missing on any, it is safe to say 2020 is Lil Baby’s year. Don’t get me wrong, Rod Wave, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Durk, The Weeknd and other artists have had themselves a great year, despite the pandemic that hit early in the year.

When he dropped My Turn in February of this year, he was already a superstar in the rap game, but this album really took his career to the next level. With hit singles like Emotionally Scarred, Grace, Sum 2 Prove & his major hit with 42 Dugg - We Paid.

Then Baby went on to release his powerful track The Bigger Picture during the BLM protests were going on during the summer, after the murder of George Floyd occurred. The music video is truly empowering and moving because not only does he rap about the truth, he is in the crowd of an actual protest, with no jewelry, no security, just standing up for what he believes in.

Congratulations to Lil Baby on being Apple Music’s artist of the year, it is well deserved. Make sure to listen to Lil Baby’s music, available on all streaming platforms.
