It has been 30 years since the first episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire, and everyone has probably heard about the feud between Will Smith and Janet Hurbert, the original Aunt Viv. She played the role for 3 seasons before ultimately getting fired. She always blamed Will for that, and did so publicly. In 2011 she publicly stated “there will never be a reunion - I will never do anything with an a**hole like Will Smith." Fast forward to 2020, and she has shown tremendous progress as she sat down with Will to end the 27 year feud.

The two had a very heartfelt conversation, as she explained to him “You took away everything from me” - going on to say “Calling a black women difficult in Hollywood, is the kiss of death”, which seemed difficult for Will to hear as he spoke about his side of the situation. It was satisfying to see the two start fresh and make amends for the 30th year reunion. Watch below:
