Pop Smoke's First Post Humous Track Released | Features Rowdy Rebel

Last week, Steven Victor announced that Pop Smoke’s first posthumous album has been postponed to July 3rd, however, a single off the project was released on Friday, June 12. Pop Smoke’s team released Make It Rain, accompanied by a highly cinematic music video.

The track had a surprise feature and fans thought it was going to be 50 Cent but were very surprised when they found out it was Rowdy Rebel. Rebel gained a massive amount of attention across the country in 2014, alongside New York native Bobby Shmurda. The two artists have been incarcerated for a few years but will be out within the next 12 months. Rowdy is most known for his hit single Computers (feat. Bobby Shmurda) while Bobby is most known for his breakout hit Hot N****.

On Make It Rain, Rowdy was able to rap his verse over the phone for Pop Smoke & we are unsure if the verse was actually recorded before his death or after, however, the two truly complimented each other’s talents as they are from two different New York Drill eras.

The music video is highly cinematic as it resembles similar vibes that Travis Scott had with the concept of Astroworld. The video included psychedelic effects with large figures of each artist’s head throughout the video.
