Artist To Watch: Lil Gio Out of New Jersey

20-year-old rapper, Lil Gio coming from New Jersey is on Controlled sounds Artists’ to watch in 2020, after his track Stay, he has shown tremendous potential. As we spoke to him, we asked him who his influences were and his response was “Kid Cudi, XXXtentacion and Juice Wrld” and you can tell their influence on his style of music, the painfully melodic music could be Lil Gio’s lane in 2021.

We also spoke to him in regard to any upcoming projects and he said that he actually has two in the works, one being a tape named Heartless but he also has an album named Broke to Bentleys, with features from artists such as $tandard, Journey Gz and more. The 20-year-old said “I have so much pain to get out before I can settle to do features, I wouldn’t feel right talking about fancy things or what goes on in the streets because I’m still out here on my struggle, between being homeless to on my own in these streets, one way or another, I’m going to make them feel my pain in every word.”
