Producer on the Rise: Chex Beats out of Long Island, New York
24 year old producer, Chex Beats, out of Long Island, New York is the next producer to keep an eye on all 2021. The talented and skilled musician is able to create melodic instrumentals while able to include hard 808’s. His versatility & work ethic is similar to his influences Metro Boomin, Nick Mira and 808Mafia, even though Chex has only been producing for about 2 years.
Chex started making beats after going through some health issues, and being in the house more often, which led him to seeing kBeaZy on YouTube. He then got started with FL Studio and kickstarted his music career. His first beat was just a remake of Look Alive, to give himself more of a feel of what a fully produced beat looks like. After that, he got into releasing tracks with upcoming artists, his first release being Cup of Tea with E. Martinez. However, his most known track is with his right hand man, SephSaiyan on their record Out The Streets.
The young and talented artist is on his grind continuously, as he has over one thousand beats in the vault, while adding over 50 every single month. You can hear his progression and improvements after each track he produces overtime, and Controlled Sounds believe 2021 is Chex Beats’ year to take his music career to the next level. After working with rising artists such as SephSaiyan, Black Savv, Drez, UFO gang and others, I believe he will continue to make great records with artists at all different levels. He has great long term aspirations, as he hopes to one day make a track with Future and/or Drake.
