BillBoard Responds to 6ix9ine's Claims

As 6ix9ine was released from prison, fans highly anticipated his first single since the release of DUMMY BOY in November 2018. Last week, the New York native released GOOBA with visuals on May 8th, the same day that the pop duo  Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber released their single Stuck With U, accompanied by a music video to support the global pandemic with COVID-19.

Stuck With U was able to accumulate 40 million views on its music video.

While Tekashi 6ix9ine managed to accumulate over 185 million views on his music video.

Tekashi took to instagram earlier this week to announce that Billboard is “allegedly” allowing prohibited strategies to increase sales.

This ultimately led to massive attention to Billboard and their professionalism to industry standards of calculating sales. Which ultimately led to Billboard’s staff to write the article on how they calculate sales and how Tekashi 6ix9ine’s single GOOBA ended 3rd on this week’s hot 100 entries behind Say So (feat. Nicki Minaj at number two and the pop duo Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber at number one with their single Stuck With U.
