Playboi Carti's Whole Lotta Red Sold 115k Copies First Week
Playboi Carti’s first week numbers are in for Whole Lotta Red and he was able to move just over 115k units first week. There have been mixed reviews about the project, a lot of good ones & a lot of bad ones but I think this is a similar type of project as Eternal Atake, which was dropped early 2020 and fans had similar feelings as Whole Lotta Red. However, I believe that these types of albums with that much anticipation, it is hard to live up to those expectations the first time around. I think WLR just needs to grow on some people, but only time will tell.
I think 115k copies is a great first week number for Carti, however, there are a lot of people that are saying 115,000 copies does not equate to two years of waiting. Fans are also saying it’s an L simply because NBA Youngboy’s Top sold more than Carti, and Youngboy drops much more frequently.
