Pop Smoke's "Meet The Woo 2" Dropped One Year Ago Today
The late New York artist - Pop Smoke released his album that took his career to the next level “Meet The Woo 2” one year ago today. The album included 16 tracks in total and features Quavo, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Fivio Foreign, Lil Tjay, Nav, Gunna, & PnB Rock. The most popular records off the project were Element, Shake The Room, Invincible, & Mannequin which all have 100s of millions of streams across all platforms but there was not one bad song off the album.
When “Meet The Woo 2” first dropped - it debuted at number 7 on the billboard 200 list & has gone on to become RIAA gold, selling over 500,000 units across the United States. The album was released days before his murder in which he was shot and killed in a home invasion in a Los Angeles residence, cutting his life short at 20 years of age. His label and Quavo went on to release the music video for “Shake The Room” about a month after Pop’s death dedicating the video to him which was directed by Viirgil Abloh the CEO of the clothing company Off-White.
